I am very honoured to be invited to join a group of 5 of Perth’s top photographers to help raise money for Cancer Support WA in the form of a “Pet Project”.

The idea is to photograph people and their pets to not only raise money for a great cause, but to also raise awareness of the positive impact pets, in particularly, dogs have on us.

We are inviting anyone with a dog (or you could borrow one) to join us in a free shoot. It could be just the dog on it’s own, the kids and the dog or the entire family. We photographers are offering the shoots free of charge and you get to choose 1 photo to be placed onto the fundraising website along with a story about your dog. This will then create a link that you can share with friends and family enabling them to sponsor your photo.

There is no pressure to fundraise, but if you do happen to raise $1200 or more you will receive a 61x76cm canvas print to keep and you get to choose the photo!

BUT if you aren’t keen on fundraising, that’s fine too because in October 2015 we will be holding an exhibition of work at Perth Town Hall to celebrate the project.

You will be offered the opportunity to purchase any of the images as you would in a normal portrait sitting. The bonus being that you will not only be raising awareness of the positive impact of pets on our lives but you will importantly be helping those touched by cruelness of cancer.
